Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Training Course

Did you know that approximately 12.6% or nearly 40 million Americans have a disability? These individuals aren't institutionalized but are trying to make their way in the world just like you and I.  Think about how much information we gain just by interacting with devices and the internet in a single day? Boggles the mind, doesn't it.

Disabled individuals are looking for the same internet surfing experience the rest of us take for granted.  They want to be able to view websites, search engine results, read documents, fill out forms and gather information without assistance at any time of the day or night just like any other internet user.

State of Nevada ADA Website Training Course

Each website editor has a role to play in making their website accessible to individuals with disabilities.  Take the State of Nevada's ADA Website Training Course to develop the skills needed.

The training course provides users with the knowledge necessary to:

                              • Remediate non-compliant website content
                              • Remediate non-compliant Microsoft Word, Excell, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF documents
It also provides additional training resources and some frequently asked questions.

                              Do you like a challenge?

Have you ever wondered how a blind person experiences a website? What barriers to surfing the web might you encounter if you were unable to use a mouse? How about if you are color-blind, would that affect your surfing experience?

                                Take a Challenge!

Can you go mouseless for an hour? add links to keyboard shortcuts to aid the user.   Maybe expand to 3 different challenges to give users the disabled persons perspective.
